Yes, we've regained the ability to do so, thanks to these bodies. Here, we also need to eat and sleep again, in fact.

It's mildly inconvenient at times, I suppose. Preempting such things is simply a matter of gradually learning to grow accustomed to them, however. The experiences that it affords us are not unwelcome.

Though I've come to understand why LILITH's ration bars are unpopular.

Fortunately, there seem to be sufficient resources to allow for some alternatives, including occasional sweets. Are there any that you would recommend? I can't claim that I've taken full advantage of it thus far.

Ah, in that case, certainly. I'll look forward to it, Marcille.

[ Not just to eat something sweet, but to discover the recipes that Marcille has been trying. ]

I am admittedly partial to hard candies.

[ In moderation and with proper dental hygiene, of course... ]

But I also enjoy the taste of chocolate and a variety of fruits. I'll appreciate experiencing what you choose to bake.

I have no objections to acting as a guinea pig in this regard.

Perhaps we could even attempt to make hard candies together, eventually?

I must confess that I am a complete novice.

[ Reconstructing materials in the Library doesn't count, after all. ]

Nevertheless, the process would be enjoyable. As would the results, assuming that we succeed.

[ Dokis..... ]

Indeed, I believe that each attempt would be quite fun regardless.

Are you referring to hobbies? If so, my list is less extensive than Malkuth's.

I suppose there is no shortage of new experiences in this world, and no harm in using one's leisure time to discover them. I've primarily appreciated the benefits of yoga.

Is there anything that you would like to try?

A variety of full-body stretching exercises, essentially, which serve the purpose of improving one's posture and flexibility, for example. They involve different poses, such as the following.

[ Yesod sends Marcille some diagrams of a few here... ]

[ Nerd club 🤝 For his part, Yesod is pleased that The Benefits Of Yoga will be useful to Marcille, too — and her request answers his question. ]

Would you like to join me in the morning or the evening, then? We may be able to incorporate Gebura's meditation technique as well.

She is. Most recently, she was in charge of the Library's Floor of Language.

In a sense, I imagine. Prior to guarding our research team, her work during her first life undoubtedly meant encountering a wide range of people. Unlike the rest of us, she also has the perspective of someone who can compare the language use of different socioeconomic areas of our City.

grips marcille... her faces are so cute

[personal profile] wordchain 2025-09-11 05:23 am (UTC)(link)
Is that unexpected?

[ In fairness, the entire combination must be surprising. ]

She had her hands quite full even then.

GOOD 🥺

[personal profile] wordchain 2025-09-12 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, I should clarify that only Gebura acted as our research team's guard. Malkuth, Netzach, and I had no combat experience until we became the Patron Librarians of our respective floors and relied on the Library's power.

[ All of which sounds even more bizarre, he's certain, but he is willing to elaborate if Marcille wants the details. ]

The Outskirts beyond the City, where we conducted our research, are inhabited not only by humans. I wonder whether the monsters there are comparable to those found in the dungeons of your world.

We were indeed fortunate.

[ But their research team brought harm to others and themselves, too. Terrifying things came into being. The monsters encountered in dungeons presumably exist there naturally. ]

As for the Library, it enabled us to equip ourselves with the skills of our defeated opponents. Thus, we could instantly wield unfamiliar weapons and the like as though we possessed the requisite knowledge. While we cannot replicate that here, you may have witnessed our other temporary transformations in battle. These are connected to entities now held within the Library.
